Kate Narita who hosts the blog Classroom Book of the Week, asked me a bunch of questions about my writing process for Come Fall. The questions were really interesting and made me think hard about how I went about writing the book. She posted my responses yesterday, and you can read them here.

Thank you Kate for the thoughtful interview.

In her blog Classroom Book of the Week, Kate Narita, author, curriculum guide consultant, and teacher, features a Multiple Intelligences unit for the primary or intermediate elementary classroom based on a recently published children’s book . I’m honored that she chose Come Fall for this week’s book.

Kate has linked the story to many possible classroom activities, including acting out portions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, writing prompts, book buddies, origami, photography and more. She intends to follow up with an interview about my writing process.

Thank you Kate!

Booklist reviewed Come Fall, and liked it. They found the story to be a “touching blend of realism and fantasy.”

My favorite quote:

“Weaving in magic, dreams, doubles, contrasts, and other elements from [A Midsummer Night's Dream], Bauer spins an enticing variant.”

Thank you Booklist!
